Bursar at Henry Allen and Bowerdean Nursery School

 

The Growing Together Federation is looking for a part-time Bursar, who shares our passion for providing our youngest learners with the very best start in life.  We can offer you the opportunity to work with a friendly team.

 

The role is split across our nurseries in Amersham (1 day) and High Wycombe (2 days), with some flexibility regarding days and hours for the right candidate.

 

Start date can be as soon as possible, but must be for September 2024.

 

Term time only

 

Salary type:  Bucks Pay

 

Salary details:  Range 3-4, depending on experience + pro rata (full time equivalent salary range is £27,310 - £31,645

 

Contract type:  Permanent

 

Hours:  21.5

 

Closing date:  31 May 2024

 

Interviews:  6 and 7 June 2024

About the role

In conjunction with the Headteachers, the Bursar will be expected to contribute towards the financial sustainability and development of the nurseries.  The post-holder will manage the schools' income and expenditure, monitor the schools' funding streams, including ensuring SEND funding payments are correct.  There will be some HR responsibilities, although both sites have experienced administrative teams, who manage many aspects of this workload.

 

About you

The successful applicant will have a positive, 'can-do' attitude, with strong numerical skills and an excellent ability to communicate fluently in written and spoken English.  An ability to meet tight deadlines, while remaining calm under pressure is essential.  Previous experience of working in a financial/administrative role is highly desirable.
