Funding for 2, 3 and 4 Year Olds

At our maintained nursery school, we offer government-funded early education places for eligible 2, 3 and 4-year-olds.

  • 15 Hours Funding is available for all 3 and 4 year olds - you do not pay anything and DO NOT need a code.  All 3 and 4-year-olds who live in England are entitled to this offer irrespective of income levels, benefit status, or family circumstances.

  • 15 hours Funding is available for some 2 year olds who meet specific criteria.

  • 30 Hours Funding is available for eligible working families with 2, 3 and 4 year olds.

We offer flexible options to help you make the most of your funded hours. You can choose sessions that work for you – for example, two full days and one half day, or use our extended hours (wraparound; breakfast and after-school clubs) as part of your funding.  We also accept childcare vouchers and  tax free childcare with a code, again we will work flexibly to make our hours work for you.

We’re happy to help you check your eligibility and guide you through the application process.

Please contact us for more information or visit Childcare Choices to learn more.

2, 3 and 4 year old funding: Working Families

At Henry Allen, we accept children as soon as they reach their 2nd birthday.  If you live and work in England you may be entitled to 30 hours funded childcare support.

You can usually get funded childcare for working parents if you (and your partner, if you have one) are:

  • in work or starting a new job
  • on sick leave or annual leave
  • on shared parental, maternity, paternity or adoption leave

If you're applying for 30 hours funding, you’ll need to get an eligibility code from Childcare Choices (link below) before your child starts at Henry Allen Nursery. You will also need your child's  birth certificate and parent's national insurance number .  You must reconfirm your code every 3 months to keep your funding.
